Thanks for visiting my website! I currently live and work in Wananka, New Zealand– a small town nestled within the Southern Alps– where some of the world's clearest water and most beautiful, pristine wilderness can be found. Please email me if you are interested in a commission, buying prints, or would like to see my resume.
I have always loved to express myself creativity in many ways– drawing, writing, and music, mostly. I originally went to college for graphic design, but I quickly found myself missing science. During my sophomore year in college, my father showed me a magazine cover with an explosively colorful illustration about LASIK surgery. It was this illustration that introduced the medical illustration field to me, a field that combined my two most passionate interests, art and biology. In 2005, I received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I double majored in art and zoology, concentrating in graphic design. In December, 2008, I received a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Visualization from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Now, I have been working as a freelance artist specializing in web and graphic design, 2D and 3D illustration, was well as aiding in scientific research.
