About Andrew Larson

Thanks for visiting my site! I currently live in the Ukrainian Village, just a short bus ride from the magnificent mile of downtown Chicago. In December, 2008, I finished a Masters of Science in Biomedical Visualization at University of Illinois at Chicago. I specialize in web and graphic design, 2D and 3D illustration, and scientific research. Please email me if you are interested in a commission, buying prints, or would like to see my resume.

Background

I have always loved to express myself creativity in many ways– drawing, writing, and music, mostly. I originally went to college for graphic design, but I quickly found myself missing science. During my sophomore year in college, my father showed me a magazine cover with an explosively colorful illustration about LASIK surgery. It was this illustration that introduced the medical illustration field to me, a field that combined my two most passionate interests, art and biology. In 2005, after five years of study, I received a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I double majored in art and zoology, concentrating in graphic design. Now, I am done with my Master of Science and I am ready for what the world has to offer me.
